The Formula 4 Championship was launched by the FIA in order to ease the path to F1. Formula 4 therefore became the 1st step for any driver wanting to move from karting to single seater racing at the age of 15.

Prema Powerteam took on this challenging new series from its creation in 2014 by winning both driver and team titles. From 2016 onwards it has also been participating in the ADAC series, winning the Team title straight away in 2016. In 2017 Prema secured the driver and team titles in both the Italian and ADAC series and in 2018 also won the titles in the Italian series.
